I don't know about you, but I've really been following this presidental election, and I'm really surprised that Obama lasted this long, could he really be the first black president in the history of the United States? this is huge! I cannot believe that in 2009 History could be changed forever, could it really happen? could it? Go vote please!

I don't know if you guys remember this, but remember when that little richard movie came out and they had a scene where some white cripsy man was re-recording his songs so that it would be suitable for the "white people". Fat's Domino is my main man. This artist is one of the most legendary rock and roll & blues singers of all times. His music set's him apart from anyone else because of it's uniqueness. It is said that he was the first one to create rock-n-roll because he was the first to create "rolling on the piano" when he played. But back to the white artists re-recording black people's songs..Well one of those lame ass singers who did the re-recording was a man by the name of Pat Boone.(you can read his bio here.) It pisses me off because I have never read or seen this man publicly apologized to any of the numerous artists he did cover songs for. Sure it was a along time ago, but now sir I'm sure you knew this was wrong. These record companies took songs that BLACK and Ahmet Ertguen wrote and turned them into white pop trash. Artists That Fats Domino, Little Richard, Joe Hunter, and even El Dorados, so this fool wasn't re-recording just African-Americans songs, he was even dabbling in the Hispanic cookie jar. It really angers me that people still don't look back and see this as a problem. These idiot Pat Boone has had endorsements from Chervolet, and even hit collections with all of these artist who work hard for their exposure. I have also read that Elvis Presely "the king" as some people call him, stole numerous songs from the chitlin circuit (and african music station and registry) and re-recorded them and turned them into hits, One included, "you aint nothing but a hound dog". Hmmm, doesn't seem like a white person would be able to come up with that to me anyway. Even though these artists did still the exceptional artist music, they will NEVER posses the raw soul and R&B that true black artists will posses, no one can simply compare, you can mimic but you will NEVER EVER be good enough!!

I've had some quite speculation about this fellow for some time...Every time something happens in the black community, he is always there to cover it, but also it seems as if he is really a racist himself. Every time I hear him speak it's always in a loud evasive manner. He is never calm and he's always hollering about "the white man". Don't get me wrong I know that racism exists everyday and everywhere, but it seems as if X is not trying to help and resolve issues, he only wants to get people fired up and start massive riots. It humors be to see him around town because he always has these two Muslim guppies with him who are supposed to be his "protection". Um..Quanell X sweetie..your NOT Jessie Jackson, why do you have bodyguards? lmao. I just hate the fact that this man is speaking for me, I don't agree with all the tactics that he uses, It seems like he just em brasses black people more, and make us seem like uncivilized vigilantes who cannot solve change without being subtle...as in the words of Jay-z.."and if Al-Sharpton is speaking for me..tell him I don't approve."

So if your from the houston area I'm sure you've been seeing the media coverage of the district attorney Chucky. This fool is just another example of corruption in the judicial system. It amazes me that when stories like this are placed on the news, people are so amazed...Didn't you already expect this? On the news they presented emails that he was forwarding to other employees and the district attorynes ofice, yes I was quite offended and also appalled. Some things they showed were funny, but he's ignorant for keeping such things on his personal WORK computer. It's funny to see how many white people smile, laugh, and joke in your face, but in the back of their mind they will NEVER see us as equal. Some of them like us, but they simply still believe that they have some type of hierachy over us. I've come to the conclusion that until this will never change, I plan to live me life to the best ability, and move on.

Yea so I plan to pledge a sorority this semester...I am so NERVOUS!!!!!! I haven't been able to attend all the events i've been sweating bullets. I've always wanted to be a part of a sorority since my collegiate career, but I've never pursued it enough, and I was always so self-conscious about meeting new people. One thing I hope is that I'm fortunate enough to become a part of this unique organization and represent them the best way I can. I think it is so admirable and beautiful what all of these women done decades ago, I am thankful just for having the oppourtinty to represent such beautiful women, Wish me luck!

Iphone vs. Voyager

Okay, so maybe I do spend money unwisely..but everyone likes nice things right?!? This past weekend I made a bold move and bought the voyager from verizon. I am so tired of shelling out 156 bucks a month just for a phone bill, At&T is just way to expensive. Hopefully the Verizon voyager will be my cell phone bill angel. I became accustomed to it from my friend jackie when she found it on our bleek trip to new orleans, some asian chick actually dropped it on Bourbon Street! Ever since then i've been thinking about it. I've always been obsessed with nice things and new gadgets, and if I don't get it I go CRAZY!!!!! I'm suprised to see how the bill is going to look. If it looks bad, I'm defintley going to drop At&t expensive ass so quick. My Iphone will be nothing but a distant memory..Iwhat?!

I don't understand why everybody is attacking the multi-talented Amy Winehouse, sure she's on drugs and is a complusive alocholic, but who isn't? I'm certaintly not condoning her lifestyle but I will foever condone her music, this chick is certainly a prodigy in the making. Since her first album frank she's always had something special about her. The way her voice sound when she sings is that of amazing. Her voice is so soulful it makes me feel that shit in life actually matters sometimes. All you so-called Amy fans should be praying for her instead of posting blogs laughing at her conditon. My Jena 6 Experience

Even though we were marching for a cause, I still found a way to be an idiot..lol.

Contrary to this post, I had to add this video, even though we were marching for a cause, I still found a way to be a complete idiot. As you many already know, last year there was the whole Jena 6 movement. I commend everyone who attended the even to support these young men. While I was there I was so surprised to see that there was nothing but peace and humility. Everybody seemed as if they were geniuinely threre to support not only the young men, but each other. Though it was extremely hot, I was so happy that I am able to say I am apart of something that will be in black history forever. Though Michael was not released from jail that day, just everyone showing up really reflected the ol' saying, "No people come together, like black people."

The New Year...

It was a very good year... and I feel like I have not accomplised anything. School's in session, and once again it's time to buy a bunch of high priced ass books that I will absolutely never use again....WHY?!?! why can't I just wake up wealthy and not have to worry about school or anything....anyway I told myself this year would be different but iv'e already started out bad.
